MEDIA RELEASE: Animal Justice Party announces Port Macquarie regional group with free local event

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – 8/04/2022

Upper House MP for the Animal Justice Party Mark Pearson will visit Port Macquarie this Thursday, April 14 to help launch the party’s Port Macquarie Regional Group.

A free community event will be held at 6:30pm this Thursday, 14 April at Rydges Port Macquarie (1 Hay Street), with RSVP’s essential.

“This is a chance for likeminded locals to come together and tell us what animal, environmental and social issues matter to the Greater Port Macquarie community,” Mr Pearson said.

“There’ll be free vegan food and plenty of conservation about all things animals and politics, but most importantly, I want to hear about what local issues need state-wide attention.”

Mr Pearson will also speak about his work in New South Wales Parliament.

“Now more than ever it’s vital animals have a voice in politics, and the Animal Justice Party wouldn’t be where it is today without the support of grassroots communities like our regional groups,” he said.

The Animal Justice Party’s New South Wales Regional Groups often engage in community events like protests, demonstrations, market stalls, and leafletting.
