Mulesing is the removal of strips of wool-bearing skin from around the breech (buttocks) of a sheep to prevent the parasitic infection flystrike (myiasis). The Animal Justice Party is working to ban mulesing with a five year phase out giving farmers time to breed the wrinkles out of their flock.  In the mean time we are pushing for manditory pain relief both before and after the painful procedure.
